Started on a project and thought I would start a thread on the build incase I have questions along the way. I may have had an account on the old site, not sure. My friend had this 150 scooter he was trying to sell to me forever and finally picked it up. It wasn't in all that bad of shape, motor was missing a carb and starter, luckily I have both. I like the custom ruckus look and am going for that. This is going to be a slow build as I volunteer at a local aquarium and work, so my time is limited at the moment. Started like this, it did come with plastics and a lot more just didn't take any photos until this point. So far got it to this. new shock mounts as you can see in the one area its pretty thin as I was trying to grind it down to give it some shape and ended up going to close and thin in some places so I ended up having to weld in another piece for added strength. motor mounts are just tacked in for now as I will have to modify them or ad some material in where I have all the gaps. My view is to have something fun to ride and looks halfway decent. Going for more "go" then show. I am looking to build a 63mm ( as I would love to go to 67mm but don't want to but the b cases) with a 8mm stroker crank, big head, all the goodies in the top end and then try and convert it to EFI. Would like to cruise at around 60 using >80% throttle that way the motor will last more than a few months. now for the questions, I remember someone saying you can tap in to the case to feed an oil cooler ( I live in Florida, its needed) I see this spot, is this where I can? the little brown/gold spot.

Looking to add an oil cooler, I have two choices or I think I do. I can either tap into the high pressure side of the case under the exhaust like I was saying in the photos or can I into the drain plug on the ignition side of the motor, I'm just afraid there isn't enough pressure from that plug to feed the cooler. Anyone have any input on which side I should do? Also I was going to route the return to the valve cover so the cool oil drains down the head to keep it cool since the 63mm kit is pretty thin around the bore and I want to try and keep it cool.

Worked on the front end a little tonight. Mocked it up in card board and cut out most of the pieces in 22g steel. Just as I started to weld my welder ran out of gas so in the morning I will head to welding shop. Im going to try and hide all my wiring, battery and all my gauges in here.

Had my tubing finally bent and unfortunately due to the dies the shop had I had to remove the whole rear section and weld this one in. I am now going to have to remake the rear shock mount but oh well. I have a lot of parts on order and some I'm still deciding on. My gas tank selection is either a 1 gallon or a 3. 1 is only going to give me a +-55 range while a 3 is cutting it close with room. Worked on the wiring and I removed everything except the essentials. I think my blinker relay is bad as my blinkers are not working. The upper hoop/seat tubing will be cut down and welding somewhere on the up bend.

Gas tank has been ordered and parts have been slowing coming in. I havent got to much done lately because of work but It's coming along. I had them add a 3/8 npt fitting to the top of the tank because I will be running a fuel pump and will use this as a return. I've seen where the mikuni fuel pumps can be a little to much for the small carb at idle, low speeds.

Nice project. I would like to click over to the album and just view the photos one after another, rather than click the thumbnail from here to a new window or tab, then close that one and click on the next thumbnail. I guess you just don't have the album shared, only direct links?
