I am a little stumped. I friend of a friend dropped his scooter off for repair. He was having hard starting issues ending with a drained battery. The first thing I checked was the spark plug. It was loose and the plug boot was cracked to pieces. I changed the plug for the standard NGK and replaced the boot. The scooter still had starting issues so I suspected the CDI. I swapped it for a known good CDI and was able to kick start the scooter. After more tinkering, it now has no spark and won't start either via the starter motor or the kick start. The coil passes all resistance tests and so does the stator pickup. What should I check next?
Addendum: The battery voltage is down once again. I adjusted the valves too.
