So i am having an issue with my 2004 Eton Beamer PN2 2 Stroke scoot It appears to have come along for no good reason, or at least not from anything i have done maybe just needs some adjustment and or new parts... i have too give my scoot a bit of throttle and kick start it a good 2-4 times before it will start after it starts it runs ''okay'' i have too set the idle speed Very high for the bike too start though... The issue comes when i come to a red light, or stop sign or any type of Stop, my engine slowly bogs down and lowers in RPM then dies all in about 2-4 seconds unless i hit the throttle a good bit, then it will idle high and stay running, i have too do this at EVERY Stop i have stalled out at a High number of lights around town here and it is becoming rather embarrassing, specifically when there are other Scoot riders near by I could use some insight/Help !

Start with something easy. could be that you are too lean causing a bog under load. here is Lefty's patented surefire carb adjustment technique:
Lefty's Carb Adjusting Procedure:
ADJUSTING YOUR FUEL RATIO SCREW:
FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE, take your time DO NOT Be turning the SCREW fast and wait in between turns otherwise you will be off.
Warm Up the SCOOT for at least 5 minutes.
YOU WANT THE HIGHEST IDLE OUT OF THE FUEL RATIO SCREW YOU CAN GET.
ADJUST YOUR RUEL RATIO:
1.Turn the Fuel Ratio Screw Counter Clockwise 1/4 and wait 10-15 seconds to allow the engine to catch up with the new setting.
** IF ON THE FIRST TURN IT DOES NOTHING OR IDLE GOES DOWN- GO to 2.*** Otherwise GO to a. below.
a. If the IDLE GOES up repeat 1. b. If the IDLE does not go up or it does nothing turn the Fuel Ratio Screw 1/8 Clockwise that should be the highest IDLE you can get out of the Fuel Ratio Screw-- GO to FINISH UP.
2. Turn the Screw Back 1/4 and GO to 3..
3. Turn the Fuel Ratio Screw Clockwise 1/4 and wait 10-15 seconds to allow the engine to catch up with the new setting.

If the carb doesn;t do it, go over your vacuum lines and check for leaks. Culprits are often the cheesy tiny plastic connectors that come as stock.

I replaced the 40 idle jet with a 45 as I had to idle it up high or it would stall at times and had to give it a sip of throttle to start but with the 45 no throttle idles at a lower RPM and never stalls while idling . Try cleaning the airfilter , put some a capfull of SeaFoam in the gas tank as well as remove the the carb bowl in order to unscrew the idle and main jet to do a better cleaning than only using Seafoam .
How does the plug look and what brand and model is it ? I only use NGK iridiums as they fire better and less likely to foul out from oil build up on 2Ts . I use a BRP8HIX sparkplug some use the 7 which is a hotter temp pug

A capful if seafoam won't do anything but waste a capful of seafoam. Read the can to clean it is recommended you put more than 1 ounce per gallon in a 4 stroke and more than 2 ounces per gallon in a 2 stroke. Not sure where this capful of seafoam idea came from but it certainly wasn't the side of the can...
Do it right like alley says if that doesn't work check for air leaks. Your idle circuit may be wrong/dirty but try the basic adjustments first

Yeah, seafoam, or in your case start with 1/2 qt of Chemtool B12. After the tank is empty, pour some seafoam in the new fuel. When that's done, and still gives you problems, just up the idle screw a bit. Sometimes weather affects how your bike runs. Worst case adjust AF screw.

If its severely clogged then use more first then remove the jets later than clean em and have the SeaFoam send crud afterwards . With any additive , especially a solvent , always try a lil bit at first as you can easily use more later and avoid the oh darns if you used too much of something .
Yes if your carb is not sealed and you can adjust the air screw to richen it may clear it up . If it helps but not enough than a slight larger idle jet may work

Sorry for the super late response i should have kept up to date! - When i posted this my scoot had about 5756 miles on it, well At 5793 miles the piston Blew up! This Destroyed the Cylinder as well as the Piston and rings, the silver lining is that my Cylinder head survived this! lol By the time i walked it home my odometer showed 5800.3 miles i just ordered a New cylinder head, base and head gasket, piston rings and cir clips all that good jazz, we'll just say a rebuild kit... installed the rebuild kit and put in a gallon of gas with 50:1 ratio mix, i properly installed this kit no doubt.. it is like my 20th or so rebuild... Well this new piston did not do well, it became scored and completely covered in carbon build up in the first 7 miles of break in. I have uploaded a photo of the first piston that forced me to walk home, the second i did not bother to take photos of, i am currently waiting on another piston ''kit'' and should have an update when in the next week! As well, during the 7 miles my piston lasted i did not encounter ANY issues with idle speeds, did not stall, and could effectively lower my Idle setting to around 2000 Rpm So i assume when i get this next piston, and if it breaks in and seats correctly that i will be good too go! Did they warranty the first piston?? Should you mix a little heavier for break-in like say 4-6% instead of 2%??

I bought it off of Ebay and they did not Warranty it no, how ever i contacted the seller and told him about the situation and that i and not new to rebuilds and that i believed the Piston rings to be faulty and the main cause, So he said he will send out a new piston, Cir clips, Base and Head Gasket as well as the 10mm Wrist pin / bearing witch is awesome So we shall See! And yes the 2004 eton beamer PN2 owners manual i found online says that my first tank of gas (keep in mind this is a oil injected 2 stroke) should be 50:1 Ratio mix As well it says Do Not Exceed 18Mph for more than a few seconds for the first 1000 Miles (witch sounds just flat out awful!)

So you mixed 2% into the tank that adds to the 2% the pump is providing. That should be fine...

Seems a bit much...

I probably wouldn't but certainly take it easy on it...

Looks like you put too little oil in the gasoline, and the thing just heated up until it broke D8
