My BBK is at the post office right now, and I planned on picking it up but it's raining today Yesterday I put my mail on hold just so I could pick up the bbk, but apparently it was still in st. clarita california... Now that I have the perfect opportunity to pick it up, it's raining out and my mother "forbids" that I drive in the rain. If I can't go within the next hour then I have to wait six and a half more hours, ugh!

Sorry bud. I know. I HATE waiting. Stupid IL weather. iknorite?! Stupid Illinois weather indeed! I cleared the whole morning of stuff to do so that I wouldn't have any interruptions or distractions when doing my bbk, and now I have to wait at least four more hours bored out of my mind and at the same time too excited about the bbk to focus on anything else. I guess I'll just take my engine apart and put it back together for practice... -sigh-.

I know. I have been tinkering with the new scoot all week. Getting the gremlins out. I keep thinking of things to do myself, and then sit anxiously until lunch break, or after work. Gonna attempt to put air in rear shocks at lunch. Since i am bottoming out. It looks like there was none in them. Good luck with the rebuild. Hope it all goes smooth.

Use a small hand pump to fill your shocks.
Why not take the bus to get your stuff or go walking with a wagon. Its just rain people have been rained on for centuries and somehow survived

Thanks, good luck with your shocks. For five months I've been almost endlessly tinkering on my bike; now there's nothing left to do but the bbk and a few tiny other things. Here's my To-Do list: Now I just have to replace the battery fuse, replace the fuel lines, replace the battery with a YTX12-BS, and then install my bbk and new performance exhaust which should come in the mail later today. Then I'll be bored again whenever I'm not zooming around on my newly empowered scoot. I think I really like working and tinkering on it more than riding it - though that might change with a fresh bbk. I even spent a few weeks testing all manner of different combinations of slider and roller weights because I couldn't figure out what else to do to the scooter, haha.

Its just rain people have been rained on for centuries and somehow survived Rain is fine to me. I drive in the rain all the time. I like driving in the rain because it's refreshing. I have a visor just for that reason; bugs and rain. YET FOR SOME REASON today my mother is incredibly pissed off at me just for thinking about going to the post office. It's some kind of spontaneous worrier's guilt. It's barely sprinkling out there, and I paid a lot of money for my tires just so that I could drive in weather like this...

[replyingto=scootnwinn]scootnwinn[/replyingto]That's up to you, but if you end up writing one I'll definitely be showing it to her. Even just a thread on here about driving in bad weather would be great It just sucks being in the "Hardcore" group on scootdawg.net and yet my mother won't even let me drive when it's sprinkling out. I've driven in wind, rain, hail, snow, and on icey roads so far, yet she still says she's worried sick.
