Hey guys; this is kind of a technical question about the forum.
I have four pictures that I plan on loading here to ask anybody who may know what is missing from my variator area besides a washer and bendix bushing, and the kick-start area/cover and a few odds and ends about re-assembly.
First, is it best for the forum if I upload the pics to some 3rd party server and then just link here? Or can I just upload them here and that's fine?
Second, if you were me, would you post all four pics separately or just combine them into one pic in photoshop (still under 1MB of course)?
And finally, would it be better in general to include all of the questions in one post which, I think, can scare people away because it looks too much like work, or is it best to ask each question separately?
Thank you.

I like the third party uploads from photobucket because they are large and you can post as many as you want in a post but if the person doesnt keep up with their account or the pictures are moved the image is gone and when people try to read the thread later on the pictures are gone but if attached they always will be there

These are the parts I have. Only I'm replacing the rollers with sliders. My old Dr. P sliders were torn up; what would cause that? Ok, this parts list is one that I'm asking, based on the next few images, to see if it is complete, except for a missing washer and bendix sleeve.

Next up, the above. Is there anything you see wrong? Am I missing anything that should be here that is not in the previous photo's parts? I feel like I MUST have had something wrong for my sliders to get messed up and for it to chew through two belts already (last one being a Gates that lasted about 3k miles). That's why I got the new variator; hoping it was that.

For this, obviously it's starting to rust. First, is it missing any parts except the bendix sleeve? Second, would you grease any part of this or just use CorrosionX, or neither?

And finally, a few general questions about this setup. First, I have graphite lube, but Dr. Pulley sliders claim to be self-lubing. Use or not? And of all these parts, which ones would you grease? Would you use the graphite lube on more than just the rollers/sliders? I have some white lithium grease but I'm afraid to get that anywhere near the variator/clutch/belt. And what is it about my setup that would cause chewing up belts relatively quickly and damaging sliders? (PS Since I know somebody will mention it, yes I have a new gasket coming, too. What do you use to stick that on with, if anything? Like some kind of spray adhesive?).
THANK YOU for any help.

Had a friend that snapped a belt and everything was a mess got a new belt and rollers and installed everything and he keep snapping belts could not figure the reason why, after four belts we finally just bought a new variator and drive face and never had anymore issues with the belt snapping but i would check your plastic guides and make sure they are up to specs make sure the clutch ramps are clean and no burrs.Put everything together leave out you bendix and kickstart the scooter take the cvt cover off and rev the motor up and down and just look for anything weird also i had a issue with a weak contra spring/bad belt and the belt was riding to low in the in the clutch and eating my belt up, while waiting on parts it final got stuck between the two clutch ramps lefty a 3 foot skid mark and broke the belt wish i had took pictures of it but i was new to the forum and scooters and didnt think of it

Is there any way you can take a better picture of JUST the variator--- just a closeup of the same angle/view showing where the rollers are placed, the way it's sitting/facing in the first pic that you posted(at the top of the pic). The zoom looks really blurry.

In the variator photo, the only thing missing is a washer. Roy

Everything is there, I would clean it all up really good also the case itself because it is full of belt dust and it adds to the heat inside the CVT.
Now the Variator RAMPS I can see actual built up humps on the ramps which will tear up your weighs. The variator RAMPS where the weights go in should be nice and shiney. You can use a toothbrush and soak the variator and get that all nice and clean. Also I noticed the Variator GUIDES are shot you need new ones. Also take a shot of the other side of the Variator and fan faces to see what shape they are in.
As for the gasket for the CVT you really do not need one the CVT COVER fits nice and snuge against the case and most including myself do not put a new gasket on. It does nothing at all. I would squirt a little oil where your kickstarter GEAR ROTATES and work it up and down.
What could be eating you belt is the belt climbing so high it is hitting the BENDIX, cannot tell until you put the variator on and the bendix to see if the Variator is really close to the Bendix. Alleyoop

Thank you shalomrider, teddy, onewheeldrive, triker, and Alleyoop! All of the stuff in the first photo is brand new (new variator, plate, rollers, belt, nut, etc.) The reason it may look partially used is that I had it on for 3/4th mile before it came apart again or began grinding as Alleyoop said because the bushing on the bendix was busted, making the clutch go into the fan. As for the variator humps, I see what you're seeing, Alleyoop; it may be a trick with lighting and dirt or something; if it's really humps, this baby has to go back, because that must be what happened to my last Dr. Pulley sliders.
What is the best solution to clean the inside of the case with? And grease no other parts in the photos shown? Just oil on kickstarter? (Should I just treat this like a PDI and go re-read a PDI guide?)
I will get the other photos requested uploaded later on today and thank you all again.

A photo of the back of that plate and better photo of variator area as requested. Actually I don't have the sliders in yet because they haven't arrived; but I know how to put those in. The fan face and everything is new; it's all new. The entire variator and the belt; only original part I'll be using is the nut to lock it down. What do you guys clean the inside of the case with?
