So I'm new to this whole scoter thing, so please bear with my ignorance. I recently purchased a 2007 Peace Sports 50cc scooter. The auto choke on the carb was broken, but I figured that was an easy fix. Anyway I read that the scooter could start without the auto choke? I tried but had no luck. So far I have replaced the CDI box, Put a new NGk spark plug in, replaced the ignition coil, cleaned out the carb, replaced the valve petcock, cleaned the air filter, and set both the valves to .004 It only has 500km on it, and I'm still waiting on the auto choke to get here, it had to ship from china so its taking its sweet time. Can it start without the auto choke? and is there anything else I should check on? I really want to get this thing running so help me get to work and save on gas! Thanks in advance for all your help!

Did you just replace a bunch of parts or did you check if they were needed. Did you check for spark? Is it getting fuel? Does it have compression?
take your plug out and ground it on a metal part if the engine. See blue spark?
pull the fuel line crank the engine does fuel come out? Start there and maybe we can help more

How do you know the auto choke is broken? Do you still have it on the bike when you are trying to start it or did you remove it? I highly doubt it will start with the auto choke removed from the carb.

I checked and im pretty sure it has spark, it looked a little orange though. I also pulled the fuel line and cranked it, plenty of fuel came out. Its turning and all I just cant get the thing to start. I just kind of started replacing a lot of pieces that I heard were common problems. As far as the auto choke goes, it was completely out of the carb when I bought it. And like I said, the new one hasn't arrived yet so theres just a whole where the auto choke should be.

Ok, this is a stupid question, but again I've only had a scooter for like a week and am pretty mechanically illiterate... which hole do I dump the gas in?

Cover the hole where the ENRICHER goes with your thumb and hold it there and try and start it. That will feed fuel to the motor and if it starts leave your thumb on it until it runs for about 3-4 minutes. Alleyoop

Thanks so much for all your help and the speedy replies! I tried to cover the whole where the auto choke is and crank it, but no luck. I'm going to try and start it while putting gas in the hole either tonight or tomorrow. I attached a photo of the carb and stuff just in case any of you might see something I've missed. Attachments:
