You might try going to autozone or someplace similar to "borrow" the compression tester. I know they have a ton of tools you can buy and then return when you're done for a full refund, I'm not sure if a compression tester is one of them. It would hopefully come with various adapters. If you do end up needing another base gasket for the head, let me know where you get it from. I'm just a couple days behind you in starting my BBK install, and I may need one too. There's always a chance that your battery and starter will be just strong enough after installation. Good luck!

Autozone is a good idea, but I'd also like to keep the compression tool in case my compression goes out of whack down the line when the rings are broken in. I might resort to that though, I live really close to an auto zone. I plan on getting the gasket set from scrappydogscooters since they're the cheapest I can find at $15+shipping (free shipping if you like them and add them on facebook and youtube I guess). Here's the link: www.chinesescooterparts.com/139qmb-gy6-50-100cc-50mm-gasket-set-big-bore-0324-04.htm It kinda sucks that the whole bbk was around $70, but then the gaskets alone are $15, but oh well. My battery might work, but then again I highly doubt it. I just took a 20 minute ride yesterday and after I got home and let my bike cool off then I went to start it and all I got was the whining noise of the starter struggling to turn over my bike. I think my battery is just a cheapo that is totally hopeless. I got the Zipp Battery from Chrome Batteries, it's a YTX5L-BS, meaning it has something like 4-5 Ah, and a paltry amount of cold cranking amps; I'm surprised it even turns over my 63cc. I plan on getting a Yuasa YTX12-BS if it fits.
