I have another thread going here but wanted to simplify and keep it to just the unsolved mystery. 3 wires going into headlight bulbs, high, low and ground. When I put the tester on them they are all hot and the lights don't work. When I take a piece of wire and run from frame ground to the ground pin on the headlights, they work perfectly (dim, high, and the high indicator on dashbord lights up when it is supposed to. Any clues where the problem may be....I don't understand how a grounded pin can possibly be hot until I ground it manually...should either be grounded or not grounded right?

Id say the green ground wire is not grounding

Exactly what's happening, and rather than trace it through the console, I think I'm going to just run a ground wire from the green to the frame as the lights work fine when I do that
