Got one on order and was looking at the throttle cable and wondering how difficult it is to remove and reinstall on the new one.

The most important thing, besides the length, is the way you route it. I'd take a look a how it's currently routed from one end to the other. If routed incorrectly, it may be too short to get from point A to point B--- which is what I did the first time. No big deal, just annoying. I also broke the plastic up by the throttle grips--where the cable routes through the "dash". Probably wasn't the exact metal connecting tube for the scoot either.

the easiest way to do it is to remove the carb before you attach it

Undo it at both ends and tie a wire to it so when you pull it out you attach the new cable after hitting it with WD40 and fish it back through to avoid removing body panels . . It is easy to undo but darn getting the catch on the end of the cable in on the carb can be a hassle depending on its location . I chaged one 2 weeks ago for a buddy only took 4 minutes to remove it . I took the old one to my scooter dealer to match it up with another as not only length matter but if the ends are angled the same too I was told by him . Installing took longer as I had to stick my hand underneath to help it get through the cavities . I installed it on the top first but I think it would have been easier to install the bottom first since there is not much slack to insert the end plugs . Make have to adjust the barrel on the bottom at test start up as I did . It would not work but after I turned the barrel inwards then tighten up the holding nut it was good again
