I got my mechanic to install a charger on my bike so I can plug my phone in. I plan on using my phone as my gps when I ride. I was told that the battery constantly recharges itself(the scooter battery) over a certain rpm...this true? I don't want my bike to die on me because of this. I don't know much about motorcycles or battery.
I ride a 300cc linhai. I plan on making a 200 mile ride to Jacksonville from Clearwater.

Yes, the stator charges the battery as the engine is running. The cig lighter/gps/fone plug in thingy is only 'hot' when your fone/gps is plugged in. Have a safe trip
