I put one of those flashing LED lights for a bicycle on the front of the JCL 250 and noticed cars started seeing me and noticing me more. And not pulling dangerously out in front of me. I bet % of car drivers that have caused an accident pulling out in front of motorcycles say they never saw the motorcycle coming. They see me now so there goes that excuse. And the cars that are just disrespectful and just pull out in front of you because they are bigger than you, well, the flashing white light confuses them for a second and by time they realize your just a scoot and not a cycle cop then its to late to pull out because you are already right on top of them by then. I've passed some of those and they have the nerve to actually look mad at you because you fooled them or something. D8

I'm not encouraging anyone to do anything. I'm just saying I ride like this, and it's possible, and I love it like this.

4950, that is awesome! Great idea! Me, I picked a pink jacket for visibility, but it seems to work for consideration, too. I know it's not magic, but I've yet to encounter some of the rudeness I've read about on SD. I wonder if car drivers think, "Oh gosh, that's a girl, don't crowd her." or something. Why I recommend pink for everyone, ha! Hey dom', you'd look darling in pink, hon'! >'Kat

And your idea is terrific Kat. Hey, It sounds like it works just the way it should, For whatever reason they give ground. But like Dom, I'd look stupid in pink because I'm 6'3 or so

Sorry, I do not want to give up my liberty for safety. Not a good trade IMNSHO. Those who give up their liberty for safety will end up with neither. And I would not sue anyone for my choices. That's a newer idea of how to conduct things I don't agree with.

Survivors could sue you for encouraging others to flaunt safety who then following your advice were injured or died. Agree with it or not we live in a litageous society.
