I have never heard of this problem before:
I am actively looking for a new scoot. My present one I was gonna sell to a neighbor for $100. But I have noticed I have gas (not oil) dripping form the muffler!! Has anyone heard of this or had this problem?? If so what would be the cause & cure? I cannot sell a scooter that drips gas
What I have found out so far. I took the carb back off to re-clean. I noticed that 1 of the 4 screws of the cover (where the jets are at) was stripped. It was not catching onto the carb. I replaced the screw and now all 4 screws are tight.
But how would that allow fuel to go inside the muffler? I would think it would travel on the outside to the lowest point and then just drip off.[/b][/color]
Also my plug was black. Sandpapered it off....2 trips around the block and it is jet black again. And it is a new plug NGK C7HSA

are you sure its gas and not condensation? that would mean that its running rich enough to shoot raw gas out the exhaust,

If it is dripping fuel, what is most likely happening is that it has a fuel leak somewhere else and it's flowing to the lowest spot on the scooter.... the muffler. I would check all the fuel lines and make sure the float bowl drain is closed.

Check the spark plug if its garbage starting it up will cause the fuel to shoot out with no spark at first then fire up. Add seafoam to the fuel also to clean the lines.

It the plug is BLACK sooty DRY then it is RICH AS HECK. Also if you turned the Screw all the way CLOCKWISE and the idle was the fastest MEANS it is getting gas from someplace else. Take the VACUUM HOSE that goes to the PECTCOCK off at the INTAKE MANIFOLD and see if the VACUUM HOSE is wet from gas inside. If so the PETCOCK is bad and allowing fuel to be sucked out of the Vacuum hose. The other thing is the ENRICHER MAY not be shutting off feeding extra fuel all the time. Take the ENRICHER OFF after 5-10 minutes of idleing or riding around and see if it is extended out about 1/4 of an inch like this: IF IT IS NOT the ENRICHER IS BAD and feeding extra fuel all the time.
