I thought 12's were an upgrade when I goy my scooter but comparing to scooters with 10's ive seen in person at the dealership these low pros look wimpy. The 10s on the Hondas and yamis look much nicer. Am I stuck with them?

[replyingto=redroush00]redroush00[/replyingto]I take it you bought a Tao Tao CY50-T3?... Or the Roketa Maui NOS? What scoot do you have...as some are short case engines..some are long case. That determines what size tire you can go up to.

You probably got scared off by the low width of the 12" tires. 12" tires are more stable at higher speeds though. I like 3.5x10"; if they only equipped the 12" with 3.5 they would look mean! I think the stock 12" tires are 3.0 or 2.5 in .

My 12's are tall and FAT..but they are 130/70-12's...and it's a long case engine.

All 12's are long case i believe. Can I put on different 12's? Something with a little more width and height?

the t3 is a short case can't put bigger 12 inch wheels on it that's why the 12s are low pro

DX yup..that is why they make them and the Roketa Maui NOS 12 inchers so low profile.

The tires on it now are big enough that you have to flatten them to get them on or off, been there done this

You can put 3.5x10 or smaller wheels on it I suggest he measure the new tire fist...but I have seen folks use 80/ -10 and / -10 on a short case. A hair taller...but nice n fat...real meaty looking tires..but they did have to make a simple bracket to raise their mud flap up so it did not rub.

I can interchange my 10 inch wheels on my cy50a to the t3 and vice versa
