My spark plug was replaced at 800 miles when it cut out when riding. I couldn't go more the 10-15 mph without it bogging out. Then at 900 miles I needed to do it again because of the same problem. Then at 1200 miles it wouldn't start with electric or even the kick start. I took it to the guy I bought it off of and he tells me that my valves tightened up. " A valve job" as he called it. I can only assume its the valves for the exhaust and intake. The valves I have seen people adjust to .004 for both. Don't really know what they are called. The first time the spark plug was replaced was buy the same guy and the second time I did it. When I was down there I noticed some vacuum lines were really loose, loose to the point of almost falling off. I am wondering if the valves could have gotten F-up from this. I don't know if he had to replace anything or if he just cleaned them. I will know when I pick it up on Monday.

He said my valves may have heated up because I either had to much oil or he thinks I had to much oil over the crank. so they tightened up so much that they closed and the scooter wouldent start

It just happens nothing really causes it, especially the vac lines. Some people like to do valve adjustment as need and some do them every so many miles, signs its time to do a valve adjustment hard starting, dies on you, wont idle and lose in power

The damn thing stalled at a red light and wouldn't start. I had to push it on the crosswalk to get it out of traffic. It started again after 10 min. and didn't give me any more problems. I cant believe that I am having so many problems. My buddy has had his a year longer and no problems.

So valves were adjusted but still a little crummy. I took the carb out and with air compressor I blew out all the little jets and it ran like new. The new problem that came up was the spark plug had taken some abuse due to bad carb and running rich. I cleaned the spark plug with wire brush and it fired right up and I no longer had any power problems. As of right now I need to adjust air/fuel mix because its stalls at stops and the spark plug has been getting to black to work ever 200 miles or so. Almost have everything set and cleaned for a happy ride, BTW I just put 1600 miles on the scoot scoot
