Safety is all about common sense, which most of society lacks these days.

Just remember when you ride, YOU ARE INVISIBLE.... people will change lanes into you, they will turn in front of you, they will cut you off... Just keep your cool and ride on. Don't let it rule you. If it starts to rule you, pull over and chill for a sec. Being aggressive on a bike because you are mad is a good way to get hurt! And since you are on a scooter, only about 1/2 the motorcycle riders will wave at you... , although I did slice up a harley pretty good in traffic this weekend. They stopped beside me and thought my little fortune cookie was cool and was surprise at how quick it is.

howdy, when i say aggressive, i mean take control of the situation, not let the situations take control of you. i don't mean aggressive as in waving a gun around or something. be pro-active. ride to be seen. if i see someone waiting to enter the highway and i'm being screened off so that i might not be seen, i'll move to the side of the lane so as to become visible. the other day i pulled onto the road behind a couple motorcycles traveling together. when i cam up behind them, i moved to the outside of the lane so that traffic coming up behind can see that there is someone ahead of me rather than riding directly behind so that someone might try to pass, not reallizing that there are two vehicles to go around. etc.
lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken---always thinking

Ken, I wasn't disagreeing with your post.... I probably should of said riding while angry. I've seen guys take off after cars, because they were cut off or something.

Just keep repeating MSF, MSF and once you take the class make it a point to review the class material on the anniversary of your taking it.
Most if not all of what gets posted as wide eye revelations or epiphanies is usually covered in the MSF class so no need to learn the hard way and what you learn will not be someones personal best guess but proven information by an authority in safe riding. Also you will leave with an orderly hard copy of the material covered.

Safety is all about common sense, which most of society lacks these days. Common sense died unnoticed by most and nobody bothered showing up for the funeral.
