I was just thinking about that particular scoot this morning. It's at the top of my wish list.

I saw a couple on CL last year and one was super cheap with only a couple thousand on the clock.

Nice scooter, but when I read more about them most of the advice was toward the new BV350 as being close in power due to less weight, a little more modern tech, and a pretty good price new. Either way, they both look like nice machines.

Not sure if they stopped making the 500, but you can only get new old stock in the US now.

The Aprilia Scarabeo 500 ie has the same drive train and was on factory special for $3,999 brand new off the showroom floor until recently and they come with a 2 year full parts and labor warranty . You can still find a few straglers left in the showrooms across the country if you shop around. The spec out only synthetic oil for the bikes with Piaggio engines and the filters are expensive however since the oil changes are every 6,250 miles it ends up cheaper than most GY6 150's to deal with.

If you are anywhere near Seattle Moto International still has some of the specials bikes some new some demo bikes with under 1,000 miles on them.
