I recommend you upgrade your fuel pump and fuel filter to a cars 6 cyclinder electric type application. Why you ask? China and many countries do not put ETHANOL in their gas. Probs with scooters and ETHANOL. * Known for eating away scooter fuel filters instantly *Motor scooters driven in other countries do not have as many carburetor problems, as the USA, because their gas does not contain ethanol or corn additives. *Ethanol gas contains corn additives, which can cause gumming of the carburetor jets. *The cost of gas with ethanol is generally 10%-15% less cost than pure gas or non-oxy gas. The savings at the pump will cost you more in maintenance of motor scooters. The reduced cost of gas with ethanol is not a savings, when you consider the labor cost to clean gummed up carburetor jets. I have a Roketa MC-54 250b. I upgraded my non electric fuel pump and Chinese fuel filter to a Mr Gasket Micro Electric fuel pump. Comes with a micro Fuel Filter built in (#42S). This is made for 4 and 6 cylinder engines with carburetors but will last forever prob on this scoot.

You may want to sticky this topic. I see so many problems with carbs and fuel problems. I never get any and nothing sticks due to ethanol grime. Not to mention burning problems and eating away of engine parts...

Most already change the fuel and vacuum lines with automotive fuel line along with filter too . Ethanol is a scam to make corn cost more and use us more gas since ethanol you less MPG and can absorb water 20 times more than gas with out it . Also change the engine oil and gear lube first thing too .

How many amps does that fuel pump draw, and what is the pressure rating?

Yeah, we have had people post about putting electric fuel pumps on to replace the vacuum powered ones for a long time. People do it after they have problems or do an upgrade.
Back in the day the hoses were really poor quality, most of them are coming across the ocean with upgrades in the hoses now. It is still a good idea to put know quality parts on your scooter from China.
