OK, so I decided to work on my Scooter today. I followed the procedures to adjust the valves, then I changed the oil and went to start it and it will not start. I turn the key to on and no lights, I push the starter button, nothing. I then push the start button on the remote and it lights up and cranks, but will not fire. With the key it acts like the battery is dead, but with the remote it cranks and acts like there is no spark. Is this a remote/alarm issue? If so, how do I bypass it? The only electrical thing I removed was the CDI(I think) and I plugged it back in. I know the battery is good, but this has me stumped.

And you are sure the kill switch is off?

Check the 15 and 20 amp fuses again. Recheck the CDI again that fires the spark plug. Check your spark plug. When you get it started check the regulator by hooking up your volt meter to the battery and giving it gas. You should see the volts jump.

Try this then try with the KEY: Alleyoop When using the remote you have to push lightning bolt twice to start the scoot.
1st Push of the button turns the ignition on.
2nd push of the button starts the scoot. If you start the scoot without a key you have to use the "alarm unlock" to shut it off sometimes it may take 2 times then you can use key again.

OK, well I feel like a complete dumb . Somehow I had hit the kill switch and that kept it from turning over with the key, however I still can not get it to start. It may be flooded now, so I will be getting a new plug tomorrow anyway. I did find one of the fuses(it was bad), a blue 15 amp, but where are all the other fuses? Is there a fuse block, or are they all scattered around the bike? I understand the operation of the alarm, and that is OK.

THeres two fuses the 15 amp and the 20 amp fuse near the regulator on the exhaust side.

Well, I got it fixed. I found that I had hit the blue fuse and it being a crappy china fuse, it broke. I replaced that and it would crank, but not fire. I replaced the spark plug, but nothing. I then checked for spark and I had none. As it turns out, when I removed all the panels I pulled the plug on the CDI, well when I put it back I bent one of the pins and it was outside the plug, not connected. I straightened that and plugged it back in, it fired up instantly and runs like a champ. Thanks for the help guys, as it turns out I was just having one of those stupid days.
