Hi all, I'm rj, I have a old(2or3yrs) taotao with a 139qmb 49cc, Can I turn the belt drive system into a chain drive?

No. The rubber drive belt is used to work with the variator and clutch. It is a friction drive system and the belt pulls the clutch pulley open as the front variator expands from the rollers flying outward and making the front pulley smaller in diameter. It is the automatic transmission of the scooter. Making a direct drive with two sprockets and a chain defeats the whole purpose and would require another engagement device be built in.
