Put a used (500miles on it ) into my flyscooter and very slow take off and lacking power/ speed. Put new performance variator in, blue small clutch springs and a new belt and zero change. Next adjusted the valves 5 intake 4 exhaust still no difference. Put new fuel filter, NGK spark plug and still no difference. I’m lost old motor went good at take off and top end 35ish but timing chained snapped and killed the engine. Only things different on the new motor is two intake vacuum nipples ( plugged one off ) and the wiring from the engine had a extra green wire which I just taped it off. Any help. I’m new to this forum.

wiring from the engine had a extra green wire Unclear if your Flyscooter is wired for an AC or DC-CDI, and if the replacement engine stator is compatible? Also check if carb slide assembly is rising properly.

what are the old variator rollers weight check to see if the cams are the same and look at the gasket thickness in the cylinder and head also check the shape of the combustion chamber. By preferences you have no base gasket and a spring steel head gasket and you may want to retain some of the old parts if they are superior and still usable
