I was adjusting my valves and the nut stripped, i have extra rockers and such so i went to remove the nut and the nut fell in the crankcase where the chain is i used a magnet on a stick but never found it, what damage will this do and how can i get this out

Do not turn the motor over until you get it out. the only way to get it out is through the chain guide slot or take the head off or split the crankcase. Alleyoop

damn sounds bad will it fall out if i drain the oil

The nut could be between the chain on the cam sprocket if not there then it is at the bottom of the crankcase along side the crank. The nut will not fit between the crank counter weights and the case not enough room. Alleyoop

It was on top of the top chain guide it fell all the way in when i took off the head

Good, now fish it out with a magnet, it will not fit through the left side drain plug so you have no choice but to fish it out or split the case. Alleyoop

split the case for a small nut this is a crappy deal, gotta do it i guess i'll try to fish it first of course, its on my t3 scoot not my tapout so im not that upset

This project has been a pain really hope to get the nut out if not skip it let it tear up stuff, i'm about fed up with it

Ok it is not likely it fell all the way to the bottom of the crank case but possible. It is probably under the cam chain in the chain channel. My case only has three small spots it can go through to fall into the bottom of the case. The arrows point to the three ways it could get to the bottom of the case. the red arrow is the most likely spot. Roy

If it did fall to the bottom of case you can take the head off and use a magnet through here. Roy
