I've got my new 300cc Icebear Zodiac the other day and been going thru it to make sure all is as it should be and to familiarize myself with the undrpinings of the beast while I await the papework to get it registered. I did the engine oil change with ease, but then moved on to the trans/rear gear/rear end oil change. Looked underneath (after having looked all over) for the drain plug. But, I see two drain plugs. Question now is which one is the trans drain plug. Attachments:

Then, I look for the Trans Fill Plug. I look everywhere, except where it said on the side of the engine "OIL .75L" But, if you notice, it's right behind that dern plate. And an open end 17mm didn't work, nor did a box end 17mm, so I went to get a crows foot. Didn't have just one, so had to get the set. Oh well., may need em later in life. But, that didn't work either. Eventually, I had to cut open an area from the plate, around the fill plug, to get a 17mm socket in there. What a PITA. But, where there's a will.... so, now next time it'll be a whole lot easier. Next Project!!!! Attachments:

Next Project: Yea, I think the chain is too tight. It has like no movement at all, and it should be like 3/4 in. I THINK i can see where there are 4 heavy duty bolts that can be loosened, and I see 4 eye bolts that appear to be adjustable to bring the swing arm IN to loosen the chain a bit. Pics, when I get back to the geerege and start that task.
Unlewss , you, alley, can confirm or deny my hypotheses. , what ya think old man??? (LOL)

Awesome but how often do you have to adjust the chain?

The chains stretch so after they have finished stretching out on the beach they will hold pretty good. I haven't had to tighten mind up for over two years now. Alleyoop

Awesome but how often do you have to adjust the chain? My guess is initially, and monitor for potential stretching, then twist n go.
