Good for corn farmers. Bad for motorists.

" Motorcycles and ATVs are prohibited by the EPA from using fuels that contain more than 10 percent ethanol by volume." If you have a scooter with a carb (like many of us do) you shouldn't get your bike that drunk.. I'll see myself out.. thank you

"...continues to push the administration for more legally flawed bailouts for oil refiners that threaten to destroy the growth of renewable fuels and rural jobs."
I'm curious why rural jobs are so much more valuable than, say, city jobs. And why do none of them seem to give a parc that pushing corn-gas might cost jobs and growth in the oil industry?
I really hate government by the highest financial donator....

And another thing--if corn-gas does make more pollution etc, then will my next ozone alert tell me to limit my car trips to NONE instead of ONE per day?
(meanwhile, I'm still trying to figure out how I limit my trips to one--I may drive TO work, but not home again?)

We have learned the benefits having multiple fuel sources from what happened to Argentina a decade ago, or so. -The Argentines had become energy independent by using the alcohol fuel from sugar cane. It worked great until a long draught ruined the sugar cane crop one year. The cars and trucks were equipped to run only on alcohol, so the economy soon plummeted even further. It took quite a while to convert all those vehicles to run on Petro, LPG and alcohol.
