the "mod" scooter with all the lights is one of the original pics used for the reddit scooter meme, that one and the mirror one, both British

That great article talks about how Piaggio had to transition from building war planes to building affordable scooters. -Heinkel had to transition from building heavy bombers to scooters. -BMW and Messerschmitt transitioned from aviation to building tiny, affordable transportation like the Isetta and KR200. -Mitsubishi (remember the Zero?) transitioned to building cars and trucks. I'm sure there were many more. -Piaggio has outlasted them all.  |
