[replyingto=spandi]spandi[/replyingto]Would I need the bike cover if I plan on parking it in my garage?

I cover mine to protect from Sun and rain in my carport since it does not have a door

The Shoei is pretty good a far as protection, and the flip up is great if you wear glasses (or sunglasses) talking to people, or drinking a bottle of water (that desert thing again) I paid about $400 a year ago, so the model has been around awhile, consequently the price is lower. However, it's still a Shoei and the quality and safety are very high.

Freeze Outs are windproof and water resistant . I have a hydropack which is a small backpack with 2 liter reservoir to put in water and I use some freeze blocks to keep it cold . It has a hose for handsfree drinking . Hope nobody rides with beer in theirs . Camelpaks are expensive but I got another brand at Wally World for 20 that is just as good . In the summer get spray on sunscreen to prevent getting burned

[replyingto=spandi]spandi[/replyingto]So then you would recommend a modular for desert living?

So then you would recommend a modular for desert living? Yes, but I'd buy one from a high end manufacturer and stay away from the cheap stuff. But check ALL models (including full face) out first, then make your own decision.

[replyingto=spandi]spandi[/replyingto]Does that one you showed me only come in yellow? Id rather get it in white if possible...
And if not that model, I think I will try to get a Shoei or Arai since they seem like everyone likes them a lot.

BTW, have you taken the motorcycle safety course? (if not check for motorcycle riding schools in your area)
