Hey all!
So- i have a Taotao Quantum 150-2016. Do my valves need to be adjusted because they will get tighter with time? Or looser?

Hey all! So- i have a Taotao Quantum 150-2016. Do my valves need to be adjusted because they will get tighter with time? Or looser? Valves are usually set to tight from factory, and need readjustment out of the crate usually. Then adjust as neccesary, checking them every oil change. |

I get that- my question is- do valves on ours scoots get looser or tighter with time? Over time they will get a little lose and that is normal but with a lot of run time on them. The clearance is set with tight tolerances from when the engine heats up metal expands and then retracts when cooled. .004 and .005 usually works and that is real thin when you look at it. On a cold morning and I mean a real cold morning you may hear the arms chatter a little until it warms up. Always set them with the engine cold but not ice cold. Heedehcheenuh Chuck D Ride on..... |

Hey all! So- i have a Taotao Quantum 150-2016. Do my valves need to be adjusted because they will get tighter with time? Or looser? They do both, in my case the engine got hot very quick and yesterday i find out the valves was to tight. So they can get both looser and tighter over time |
