I've started having electrical problems with my 2009 SYM HD200. At first, I thought the starter switch was just having issues, because on occasion it wouldn't start, but then I realized most of the time it wouldn't start, I could flick my lights from low beam to high beam while the starter button was pressed in and my engine would start. Really weird, I know, so I don't know what is wrong. Also, today, my left turn blinker (on the dash, and possibly in the rear too) wouldn't work, but later in the day it worked. During this time, my right turn blinker was working fine. Does anyone know if there is some sort of fuse or regulator or something that could be impacting the different parts of the electrical system at different times? I'm not sure what the main cause of my electrical problems is. (My scooter has 20,000 miles on it, but was maintained well.)

when a fuse blows, it's all or nothing, it doesn't "sometime work". my 250 only had one fuse, and when it blew it removed all power, no lights, horn, signals, nothing. electrical problems can be a real bear to diagnose, especially intermittents, like you are experiencing.
my guess is one of the many connectors is at fault, or you might have a frayed wire that is intermittently grounding, but not enough to blow any fuses.

That what I was thinking, a short somewhere... The only problem now is using the old multimeter to test for continuity.
