Hi all, i have just put a big bore 70cc kit on my vmoto monza, it has a sports exhaust, 1500rpm contra and clutch springs, and 6 by 5g roller weights. The acceleration is very slow to about 25km, taking about 20 seconds to get to 25, then it opens up and hits top speed easily. Can anyone suggest how to improve my acceleration?

You change the carb jet to a larger one?

Is it the engine? By that I mean is the engine revving and not bogging down or is the engine not reving up to a point then it just takes off?

The engine is not revving as high as it should on take off, it finally hits 10kmph, and then takes off quick. I have played around with the roller weights, and not much changes with acceleration.

When it takes off, the best way to describe it is, it feels like when you take off in second gear in a car, real sluggish, but then the revs get up, and it goes normal.

How long have you given it to run-in? Could be that the needle on the slide is off a step or two now and also needs to be adjusted to the new cylinder or that you got the float level off a bit when you rejetted the carb.
