Ghcoe,
Welcome to the site! Your picture didn't show. Weird, shows up on my computer. Went ahead and redid it. Is it showing now? Thanks, George.

Already do here in Idaho and you must have a motorcycle endorsement too. That is all two wheel motorized vehicles including the converted bicycles.

How about the Japanese modern, Chinese clone? Just picked up this Asian, Europe style (different headlights than the US market bug eyed Zuma) Yamaha BWS 125 clone. I love the aggressive looks it has, and no I am not that young......

Do you have a brand and model number, or link to a website listing? Might be able to google some reviews with the details. No, just a Chinese made unit. Could not find anything on this one so I was hoping that someone here had tried one. May just order and do a review myself. Thanks.

Change out the oil before driving too far.

I was wondering if anyone has tried to install one of these on their scooter?
I like this one because it uses the mechanical speedometer cable instead of the magnetic pickup. I am looking to get something that has the tach, speedometer, trip odo, and odo. This one also has a time display which would be cool too.
If you have, what was/is your impression on the unit. Thanks. George.

Day #8
Well, finally got caught up a bit to post. We did pick up the Verona 50 from greenearthscooters.com on Wednesday night from the dock. Again it was because we would have to wait till Friday for home delivery do to my work schedule.
The item arrived in great shape. No damage at all to the box.
Put it together, changed the oil, filled with gas and it started right up.

Day #6
Got my scooter from Powersportsbest! Picked it up at the dock so I would not have to wait for delivery. I would have had to wait till Friday for a delivery time that would work for both of us. Arrived in great shape ready to run except the rear view mirrors. Started second try. Now to change the oil and get it tagged.....

I would do the same. Just replace the whole engine/CVT. If you want to dive into the motor once it is out it could be a good learning experience, well worth the $300.00 a new engine/CVT cost you. If you are familiar with turning wrenches you should be able to do the job in a day easy. They are not too complicated that is the beauty of a GY6 engine. I am not sure where a good engine source is since I have not had a need to replace one yet. There are quite a few on ebay in the $300.00 range that includes everything, carburetor, CDI, ect. Good luck and happy scooting. George.

Day #2
I got a order shipped email from Powersportsbest. Should be here Tuesday the 19th by what the tracking number informs me. yeah, 7 days from order to arrival not bad even with some banking issues. Probably would have been here Monday if it was not for that.
Received the order shipped from Greenearthscooters, but never received a tracking number or a estimated date for delivery. Decided to give them a call. They promptly answered and knew what I was after because he gave me all the information without me even giving him my name! I asked him how he knew what to look up. He said he saw the caller id and figured I was after the shipping info. Not bad, even though I did have to call for tracking info. Scooter should be here Wednesday the 20th.
Now the problem is I have to take time off from work to receive both scooters. I will probably have to schedule the home deliveries for Wednesday or Thursday. Bummer for me since my scooter will be here first.
