My rears are ok, but the front is touchy. Jamb on the front brake and the shock will bottom out. I have not locked them up, but I am pretty sure I could if I tried.
How old is the scooter? Hard braking with front and even rear brakes can glaze the surface of the rotor or drum and create poor braking. On cars they "turn" the rotors and drums every brake job. Not only does it "ture" the surfaces, but also brakes up the glazing of the surface from miles of braking.

I have ordered quite a few things from Aliexpress in the last two years. This is how it works. Aliexpress is a company that the sellers deal with. When you purchase a item you are paying Aliexpress not the vendor. The vendor does not get money until you receive your items and you confirm that you are satisfied with the items. If you are not satisfied you can open a dispute. I have had a couple of issues, but they were quickly handled to my satisfaction. Sometimes shipping can take a long time so watch the ship times and I usually try to order from vendors that have some history. It is similar to ebay in a lot of ways. I find the vendors usually quite friendly. Good luck.

Both scooters are doing fine. The Verona was my sons and since he has since purchased a 200cc Dong Fang from Powersportsbest. He has had problems with the Dong Fang and Powersportsbest seems to be trying to make things right so far.
The Verona has served him good till the got the Dong Fang this spring. It does have a lean carburetor stall on take off some times. The carb is sealed, but it wasn't that bad of a issue that we had to take it apart to pop open the adjustment cap.
The Roketa turned out to be a Jonway and has served me well. I just recently started riding it again daily as a commuter, about 12 miles a day. I have been averaging 75 mpg so far. The only problem I have had with it is that the headlight is adjusted too high. Starts and run fine everytime. Even still using the supplied battery.
I have some adventures posted here chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=14034 .

We already have a head coming with the warranty, but it is 1-2 months out since the vendor did not have this head in stock and it is on a backorder now, or so they say. I sent pictures of this damage and requested a new cam with the head and associated gaskets for replacement. So far the vendor has communicated with us in a timely manner.

No. The new head is just the head and valves. The pictures just show the damage that I found once I took apart the engine. The picture with the cam also shows the cam assembly that this engine has. The rockers are on the other side.

Well more issues now. Looking to find a replacement cam and all the cams I am finding have a pressed on gear. This cam has a bolt on gear and it needs to be removed so that you can remove the C clip that holds the cam into the cam housing. Any ideas on where to find one? If we can not find one we may have to run this one until we can. The good thing about this design is that the cam can be replaced without loosing the head bolts.
Thanks, George.

I was taking the engine apart to get ready for the new head and found this. That is a cam sprocket bolt. Both cam sprockets bolts were present in their correct positions so I figure that this one dropped during production. Thinking that bolt fell onto the floor instead of into the cam assembly they just grabbed another bolt out of the bin and sent it on is way. It would have been pretty hard for that bolt to find its way behind the cam since the cam assembly has to be installed before the cam sprocket can be attached. What are the odds.....
It also took out the cam.

This review on the site is a scooter install. In fact it is the only review so far. Sounds interesting.
Best Bolt On Performance Increase 06/07/2013 Stock 2008 Shenke 150cc scoot did 54mph top speed at 8900 rpm with wide open throttle GPS verified. I bought the DR2 and bolted it on, took all of about 10 minutes. Top speed was 68mph and climbing at 8500 rpm with wide open throttle. I ran out of road at that point. Awesome smooth acceleration and outrageous top speed improvement. I'm buying one of these for ever future scoot I own.

Can't you still use that head and just get a 4 bolt valve cover ? Not sure. I know that the fan shroud would have to be modified if I use a different head. Also, the gasket kit seemed to be for the G6-200 specific.

With more reading it looks like what I mistaken as a EGR line is actually a PAIR line. Going to go ahead and order the GY6-200 head that has that blocked off and run it. If you are interesred, I have an extra 61mm head - used about 500 miles, but as near to new as you can get. It's with high RPM springs, etc .... this is the one I have: www.ebay.com/itm/SCOOTER-150CC-GY6-RACING-HIGH-PERFORMANCE-TAIWAN-61MM-CYLINDER-HEAD-BIG-PORT-/191598223845?hash=item2c9c24e1e5Last year I got the BBK that included this head. Unfortunately, put the piston in wrong and scored the jug (no effect at all on the head). before tearing the thing down I ordered a second BBK just to be sure i had anything I might need. Didn't need the head, so I have this extra one. PM me if interesred Thanks for the offer, but it is the wrong head. The head we are working with has two valve cover bolts that screw into the top of the head rather than around the edges.

Yes! Sorry. Just rechecked the code it is a Q instead of a 0, 161Q-A. Two bolts through the valve cover to hold it on. A small hose outlet on the top of the valve cover and a EGR port on the head.

Engine code is 1610MK-A. Yeah, I know, it is a odd one. Scooter was sold as a 200cc and displacement is 168.9cc.

Well I was looking at the problem better yesterday and figured I would just put some gasket sealer into the void I could see to see if it would stop or slow the leak. As I applied some gasket sealer into the void I could see it light up. I just so happened to have had the valve cover off and the sun was shining just right through the head to light up the sealer from the back side. Well mystery solved! A piece of the head broke off between the exhaust port and the chain passage. So now to see how the warranty will work. Looks like this is a odd engine, or at least a hard to find head so hope they come through.
