Hi i just bought a gold honda aero 125. I think i might have overpayed a little for it , paid 660 it has a couple beat up body panels and 9700 miles on it. The day i bought it i drove it home approximately 40 miles. Then today I went to take the same drive and got about 15 miles and shredded the drive belt i think. I am gonna go to the local scooter shop tomorrow and see if he has the belt that i read on here will work for that scoot. My neighbor is trying to talk me into putting these flat slider 13 gram weights he has in the variator when i change the belt but i think that might be to light. I have read that a few people have had good results with 19 gram weights so if i change them i will probably try that. I did notice it has some oil or grease on the little round black plastic vent looking thing ( i know real technical term lol) anyone have idea what that might be from? Do you think it will survive driving 70-80 mile round trips 2-3 times a week? The first night i drove it home I was doing approx 50-53 according to the speedo pretty much the whole trip and it did fine.
