Pro: where would you put a Kymco Grandvista 250? It is a decent but funky looking bike. Not fuel injected and fits smaller rider best. It is made very well, but with the same engine, I like the People 250s better if you can find one. And even as a Kymco owner, I would not take either 250 over a Burgman 400. Nice bikes, but not Burgmans. i have not had a ton of experience, but I am 6'3" and had a granvista when I was 300lbs and it had no problem doing + with me on it on the highway. I found it a perfectly capable bike with some nice options. I got it new for less than a grand more than comparable Chinese scooters and a lot less than the larger scoots like the burgman (even used). That said, I have ridden everything from 49cc scoots to large motorcycles, and I would not be concerned about a 400cc scooter. I personally would go with what you can find the best deal on. I feel a good 250cc (like the kymco) is sufficient. I don't need to do more than and it is more than capable of getting up to speed. Scooters (to me) have always been easy to ride, much more so than a motorcycle, so I would not hesitate to go for a big scooter as long as you feel comfortable with the weight.

I had a 69 Mach 1 for about 12 years. I restored it and kept it until I just could t justify it anymore (I was spending $1k +\- each year and only driving it 100-200 miles) so sadly, I sold it. I will always be a fan though.

Thanks! After three motorcycles and two scooters, I will say that I do enjoy riding the scooters more. I definitely wish they had a larger following here.

Cars (classic/race), motorcycles, watches, sports, beer, travel, and family...not necessarily in that order.

Good afternoon from Kansas. I was reading some info on scootdawg, then realized it was shut down. I am scooter-less at the moment (the wifey doesn't care for them) but used to have a Kymco Gran Vista and a cheaper 49cc Chinese scooter in the past. I am a Harley owner right now, but thinking about trying to sneak a scooter in the garage somewhere I have been keeping an eye on CL, eBay, etc. but good ones are hard to find and after having a 250cc, I kind of hate to go much smaller.
