The only way fuel can enter the crank case is a bad fuel valve. A weak diaphragm will cause fuel flow after shut down. Furl fills the carb, runs into combustion chamber then fills vacuum system and crank case. In other words your making oil. You check dip stick it's over full. Smell that sucker and it smells like gas. I had one every mechanic in the place had looked at. Fuel valve checked fine. I looked in the tank. Half a tank of fuel. I wondered on this. It hit me. It was a weak diaphragm not a split one. The weight of a full tank approximately 7 pounds per gallon cause the fuel valve to open like it had a vacuum on it. At 1/2 tank it would close and check normally. Make sure you flush crank case after with cheap oil.
