You dont. Quote from ad "Scooters To Go does it again! Another amazing invention to keep your oil clean and cool. The filter adds 20% more oil capacity and the external position provides exceptional cooling- up to 50 degrees cooler than stock! Longer oil change intervals, longer lasting engines. Fits all Chinese scooters. Especially important if you are running a Big Bore Kit. Simply screws in the engine where the current oil drain and screen are.
Mahle filter are the finest filters in the world, trusted by BMW, Mercedes, Porsche as well as Vespa and Piaggio scooters."

I have upgraded the Dellorto CDI and am now using a de-restricted one. It has made a of a difference to the scoot. No longer 45 kph (28 MPH for us old skool ones). It cost a bit but works well.
The top speed is 60kph, about 38MPH ( the speedo reads 65kph, but GPS says 60!).
Next are the variator, belt and rollers. I have to take my time as an old un who has lost the use of some of my fingers due to radiotherapy for throat cancer which damaged my nervous system, so holding and using small things is a bit hard.
I need to find a shop to fit the BBK and A9 cam to continue the story.
I do a 20-mile commute from home to work 7 days a week, so I have quite high mileage and as part of the route is a busy main highway, 28 miles an hour was a bit scary. (I keep getting shouted at by the truckers I hold up) now at least, I am at a speed that is not dangerous.

So the 72cc BBK has arrived with the gaskets folded up!
Will order more gaskets! The Variator Kit is here as well as the 7gm rollers.
The Jet kit has also arrived, an Oil filter kit to replace the net domed oil plug and a new Kevlar variator belt; I'm only waiting for the CDI and the Camshaft.
Will book it in to have the work done when it all arrives next week.
Still waiting for some recommendations so any input will be very welcome. Thanks in advance. Mike

I have decided to upgrade “The Funky Moped.” (It’s a Longjia lj50qt-2g retro, 139QMB Euro 4)so it is at least usable.
I need something reliable as I do a 20-mile round-trip commute daily. Im, just fed up of doing it at 45 km (30 mph).
So far, I have ordered a 72cc BBK (I plan to use the stock head), an A9 cam, a main jet kit, a new sports variator and some 7 gm rollers with a new Kevlar belt and a new unrestricted CDI.
They will be installed professionally as I’m too old to do it myself.
The question is What else do I need?

Hi my names Mike and I'm in the UK. I bought a new scooter this week and i have already done 100 km on it, in the beautiful English weather ( yes its raining again!). Its due its first service so will get that done. Then will have the new CDI (Unrestricted\) a new 72cc big bore kit and a race variator fitted. \They are sold here by a company called Direct Bikes and they call it The Retro. Its a Longjia LJ50QT-2 and is sold in Europe as Nova Motors Retro Star. Its a 139QMB engine and I am looking for main jet sizes when I have upgraded the engine as I keep getting differant answers? Nice to be here and I keep reading all your comments. Mike
