Well I got it running good now, tops out at over 70 mph. The regulator-rectifier turned out to be the main culprit. Cheap to replace.

I picked up and old Tank that has not had good care for a long time. It runs but has multiple issues I'm trying to deal with. The wiring is a mess, it doesn't seem to be charging but the stator is putting out plenty of AC volts. It runs and rides good for about 1/4 mile down the road then the engine dies. It will restart again after awhile and then do the same thing. Its going to be quite a project to get her back on the road again but that is what i intend to do. I do believe the engine is solid and still has lots of life left in it if i can just chase all of the Gremlins away. I have a bunch of parts on order, hope they do the trick.
