Hey all,
This scooter hasn't been running for over a year now. It stopped running one day and I suspected carb problems. Started adjusting it and just couldn't get it working so I bought a new carb. Put on the new carb, nothing.
Anyways, a year later and I'd like to get this thing working again. I've checked spark, fuel, and put in a new carb.
I've always had to use the kick starter ever since I bought it. I honestly think it's just because of a bad starter switch. I'm wondering if maybe the kill switch is the issue? It's the three wire type, so if anyone knows how to bypass that maybe I could try it.
The motor turns over but it doesn't even think about coming to life. Just sounds dead as can be.
Any ideas on where to go next with this? Haven't checked compression... But I don't have a compression test tool.
The strange this that it was at least coming to life with the old carb on it. With the new carb I've got nothing. I even got a second new carb just in case the replacement was bad, still nothing. Just dead.
Any help in getting me on my way to a solution would be great.
Alex
