Hello to everyone. I've been looking at threads on this forum for quiet some time now whenever my scooter has broken down, which seems to be quiet often with these chinese machines. Figured I would finally join. Currently have a 2007 tao tao atm50 that I am rebuilding from frame up when I have time to work on it and a 2017 dongfang df50sst that me and the wifey both ride daily. Have put the 50mm hoca big bore kit with cylinder head on the dongfang and am currently trying to find what carb I like best on it. Also need to get a better variator and clutch soon. I polished the variator I have which helped alot but its one of the cheaper performances ones off ebay so I don't have alot of faith in it. Looking at the NCY options. Been told to put a no rev cdi on it but honestly don't see the point since you start losing power after you get to a certain rpm anyway. Seems to be right where it needs to be now so why blow it up for nothing. Anyway thanks for all the info over the last few months. Especially with valve adjustment. I have to do that alot it seems but we add up the miles quickly between the two of us. These things are finicky bastards when it comes to valve clearance. 7000 on bike and 6000 of that with big bore and still going strong though with no problems out of crank. I credit my past with motorcycles, amsoil oil, and y'alls advice of course. Any recommendations on what transmission to use for my bike particularly? average about 48-53mph now with just me unless i am on hills but even then usually don't go much below 45 if any. Have actually hit 57 downhill before but didn't do it long cause it felt like the motor was screaming. Thanks again for all the help
