Hello guys. i was finely able to start working on the bike again. so here is were i am with it. I have set the valves to stock setting witch was 003 intake and 005 for exhaust. went to start it up and it wouldn't start easy had to give it gass to get it going. when i took it for a ride got it good and warm shut it down and came back about 5 minutes try to start wouldn't start with out cracking the throttle a little. It also idles the same like when i start it up it will idle low abt 1000RPM way below were i have it set witch is 1500RPM. I figure the mixture is off cause with in a few seconds the idle will try to rise up to near 1500. Once good and hot it will idle 1500RPM just fine. I did take a new choke and put on it and no change in the way it starts or idles. So that being said i read online again and a lot of people say valves are to tight and so i went back and set them to 004 intake and 006 exhaust and still no change in idle or starting.
So i dont think its a valve lash problem. I changed the coil and cdi with a spare performance cdi and coil that i had laying around i put that on and no change. So i dont know what else to check other then pick up coil, stator and rectifier. the battery charges but idk how well seems to have a strong charge. i do notice my head lights flickering when i start to rev up not so much at idle but as engine speed increases they tend to flicker no bad but noticeable.
So if any of you good people know were i should go from this stand point please let me know. i dont have a car i use that bike to get to work every day. i keep the oil changed got to fuel filters on it lol and a eclectic fuel pump the old vacuum pump stop supplying gass once it got cold i had to manually suck the gass to the carb to get it started then it would pump just fine but i go rid of that old pump.
The odometer says 8,000 miles not sure if thats right or not cause the odometer dosnt read the speed correctly. If any of you are wandering yes this bike ran wonderful the first couple of month that i had it then the idle problem started put put put put at idle then hard starting. I then took the carb off cleaned it and it ran better but started again put put put so i cleaned the carb again it ran fine for a bit then started again so the next thing i did was look online and people say hey idle mixture screw and so i had to drill out the plug to get to the idle mixture. I followed all the adjustment steps but it just didnt help. I want to take it to the shop but i want that to be my last choice. The same carb cost $60 from the warehouse.

I fully charged my battery and i double checked my valve lash and they were set correctly. I also checked the compression again and this time it read 170PSI. The first test was wrong do to the week battery. I am still waiting on the new carb to come so i can put that on and hopefully it runs better. but hey i want to thank you guys for helping this far . I also took the Muffler off and at the end were it connected to the pipe was loaded with soot man. You could truly wipe it off with your finger like dust. Not sure if thats from a rich condition or what but thats what it seems like to me if its that black

It has good resistance hard to turn over by hand. Seems to have power but I think it's lacking in the high rpm rang just feels like it's nothing there once you get to 6000 rpm. But low rang seems strong kinda throws u back when u hit the gas. But I'll do a compression test with a gauge to be sure

The exhaust valve is so tight I couldn't even get a 002 gauge under it. The intake was set at 003 right on not to tight or to loose.

Alright I'll work on them today. It's been a while since they were adjusted. What do you all think I should set them at? 004 or just go by what's on the tag.

Its a CDI and its a B case. I was thinking maybe it was the choke making it run rich cause the exhaust is really strong it didn't used to be that strong. I could do a video showing the symptoms but idk if i could upload it. yes it has a 2 bolt valve cover

Hello there i have a 2015 DFMOTO 200cc scooter. i cant get the carb dialed in at all. First start cold it fires right up idls high then drops off once the choke activates but the idle dose not drop to were i have it set witch is at 1500RPM it falls below that down to 1200 some times lower when i give it gass. if i let it set for a few minutes or ride eventually the idle will rise up to 1500RPM were i have it set. once its good and hot and i turn it off and come back to start it a while later it want start unless i give it gass to get it going and i have to keep working the gass to keep it running till it can run on its own once its idling on its own it will idle up and down slightly then level off.
Any one have any ideas as to what this can be? i have cleaned the carb many times no real fix there. I played with the Fuel Air mixture but seems i cant get it at a happy point to where it will start on its on with out throttle. hard starting is mostly when the engine is hot it can start fine cold fires right up but runs crappy. i checked the spark plug and its not too dark or to light its kinda in between. the last thing i am going to dig into is the valvs dont really want to go poking around with them but no one else will. i have found vacuum leaks but they have been fixed.
