Hah! Love how they describe it on that page: Not mentioning anywhere it is a single cylinder! M

My pappy said, "Son, you're gonna' drive me to drinkin' If you don't stop drivin' that Hot Rod Lincoln."
Have you heard this story of the Hot Rod Race When Fords and Lincolns was settin' the pace? That story is true, I'm here to say I was drivin' that Model A.
It's got a Lincoln motor and it's really souped up. That Model A Vitimix makes it look like a pup. It's got eight cylinders; uses them all. It's got overdrive, just won't stall.
With a 4-barrel carb and a dual exhaust, With 4.11 gears you can really get lost. It's got safety tubes, but I ain't scared. The brakes are good, tires fair.
Pulled out of San Pedro late one night The moon and the stars was shinin' bright. We was drivin' up Grapevine Hill Passing cars like they was standing still.
All of a sudden in a wink of an eye A Cadillac sedan passed us by. I said, "Boys, that's a mark for me!" By then the taillight was all you could see.
Now the fellas was ribbin' me for bein' behind, So I thought I'd make the Lincoln unwind. Took my foot off the gas and man alive, I shoved it on down into overdrive.
Wound it up to a hundred-and-ten My speedometer said that I hit top end. My foot was blue, like lead to the floor. That's all there is and there ain't no more.
Now the boys all thought I'd lost my sense And telephone poles looked like a picket fence. They said, "Slow down! I see spots! The lines on the road just look like dots."
Took a corner; sideswiped a truck, Crossed my fingers just for luck. My fenders was clickin' the guardrail posts. The guy beside me was white as a ghost.
Smoke was comin' from out of the back When I started to gain on that Cadillac. Knew I could catch him, I thought I could pass. Don't you know by then we'd be low on gas?
We had flames comin' from out of the side. Feel the tension. Man! What a ride! I said, "Look out, boys, I've got a license to fly!" And that Caddy pulled over and let us by.
Now all of a sudden she started to knockin', And down in the dips she started to rockin'. I looked in my mirror; a red light was blinkin' The cops was after my Hot Rod Lincoln!
They arrested me and they put me in jail. And called my pappy to throw my bail. And he said, "Son, you're gonna' drive me to drinkin' If you don't stop drivin' that hot rod Lincoln!"

So if I bought one of those and got rid of the rear blinkers that are mounted on the side of the mud flap/license plate area, would i have to get some wiring harnesses to match the 2 others in the last picture? That's what makes me nervous as I have no experience wiring stuff into new harnesses. Pretty sure these are "plug and play" (assuming you want to leave your blinkers where they currently are). I ordered a replacement BWS125 H4 headlight system (complete) from AliExpress and it was plug-and-play. Cheap enough to not worry about it. YMMV.

its not that its necessarily bad for your scooter as much as its manufacture is a net energy loss compared to normal gasoline. It give less miles and power for more money and ecological damage. And it is a form of corporate welfare... something you would think that would not sit right with most conservatives. But it is what it is. Probably not going away anytime soon.

Pretty sure most scooters run with slightly more pressure in the rear tire than the front -- especially true if you have a passenger and/or loaded topbox. I run my 150cc Zuma clone with 32psi front and 34 psi rear. YMMV.

Can you post a nice, big pic of your avatar scooter? It's simply one of THE best-looking rides I've seen! Leo in Texas Why thanks Leo for the kudos! Here is a before/after comparison. and here is a link to download the high-res photo: N.B. Lot's of little enhancements aren't obvious in the above photo. I plan on doing a video "walk around" later this summer -- just need a sweet location (and a video gimbal) to pull it off.

the new Japanese factory with a poor record and no experience isn't going to be better than jmstar or jonway two companies with some experience In theory yes. In practice no. The difference is that the bar is set much higher in Japan. If you are going to succeed, at the very least you need to match the bar wherever you are. In China, the bar is much lower. Eventually they may catch up... or maybe not. It remains to be seen. It took a long time for Japan to embrace quality as job #1. Much thanks can go to an American by the name of Deming. see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deming_Prize. Ironically, Deming was pooh pooh'd by American manufacturers after the war, whereas he was seen as a savior in Japan.

I've spent the better part of the last month upgrading the front-end electrical system on my 150cc Jiaque Zuma clone. Running a sealed 12v harness directly from the battery (with its own shutoff relay and fuse) I now am powering: dual H4 LED headlights, dual PIAA horns, USB/12v accessory power, and a spare relay/fuse for future fog lights. Man those PIAA horns are loud! And the ADVmonster LED H4s are literally night and day compared to the stock lights that came with the bike. I will be seen and heard.

so I think the Bintelli-specific rear caliper is what I need. The attached images show the difference.

hey PG, this is most strange. I have pretty much the same setup as you (13" rear rim with provision for disk, rear swingarm with provision for caliper mounting, GY6 rear caliper w/ plate, and GY6 rear disk). Yet when I attempt to bolt the caliper to the swingarm the outer part of the disk grinds against the inner top part of the caliper. I estimate I need to have a caliper mounting plate that moves the caliper out another 10-15mm. AFAIK, I ordered a "stock" rear disk -- and from appearances it does not look any larger in diameter than yours as shown in the photos. I'm thinking that I may have to order a Bintelli-specific rear caliper such as this ( www.scooterpartscatalog.com/bintelli-havoc-rear-disc-brake-caliper.html). Note that the mounting plate is ever so different than the one you and I are using. Any other input? Thx. M

New for this summer is the Rear Disc brake. The Wheel is from a Bintelli and was fit with a New 13" Michelin. custom stainless brake line made locally courtesy of Viking Hoses here in Randleman.. Quick question: I'm installing a rear caliper on my GY6 (same as yours) but I need to add a washer as a spacer between the arm and the caliper in order to center the caliper on the disk. Is that what you had to do? Or does your rear caliper mount flush to the rear swingarm? Michael

- the bad thing about Chinese scoots is that they are designed to be repaired by "that guy" with a bag of tools on the street.
