Hi everyone. Jason from Elizabeth City NC. I have been riding motorcycles and scooters for years. Never should have sold my Lambretta Servetta Jet200...
I just bought a 2006 Linhai 300, a little rough but cheap, to carry on the back of my motorhome. I have it apart getting new handlebars, cleaning brake reservoirs, K&N air filter and fixing some body panels. I am going to powder coat the CVT cover and ditch the plastic cover.
The scooter was very hard to start, having to finesse the throttle to get it to catch. Decided to check the valves. The exhaust was spot on, but the intake was tight, not even closing all the way on TDC. I moved it to .005" and it starts with just a touch of the starter button now!
The CVT rollers looked fine, but the outer variator plate had broken fins, so I have ordered a new one. Can't wait to see if I have more power with the fixes.
If anyone has an old windshield or front bodywork (need the black plastic panel that the speedo cluster mounts on) I could use those. Thanks
