Hello! Glad to hear your back riding again! Looks like Texas is still warm eh? Low 40s here in Washington state. In my part it is occasional rains with high winds. Rain with no fenders is never fun, but right now I just make do with what I have.
Going too long without riding a certain scooter is never fun. Only worse is when it's at a self run "shop" run by a single guy just for some weld work. Work on my scooter had been postponed because his garage was robbed by a previous employee (thankfully none of mine taken) and his garage two weeks later also got water damage. Has been there for over a month but I don't think it's nowhere close as bad to breaking bones.

Tusky, Great vid! Thanks for posting... Have a bone on The Old Chopper Guy! Good filming, makes us feel like we're riding passenger! I rode big bikes for 55 years, but arthritis and lack of budget has moved me into scooters, and I really like them. Quite possibly the most 2 (or 3) wheel fun you can have for the money. And, they're great transportation too. They make a trip to Wally World for groceries a better adventure than in the family car! Ride safe, Leo in Texas Thank you! I usually average a video (with my GoPro) or two a month depending if anything is happening. I love scooters and it is a really good hobby as I like to customize and do my own thing with scooters. Like before, I said my truck has been in the shop for a long time so riding scooters has been daily no matter the weather. That scooter in the video has been my main grocery getter and can carry a fair amount of food between the legs. Plus it is a very good money saver while being something that is very locally unique in town! I think my largest I'll ever find myself riding would be 250ccs as I do have a pair of Chinese Honda Reflex clones that require a rebuild before I ride them. Oh my gosh!.... Spaceman Spiff! Thank you! One of my first avatars when I started going on forums

Good read! The current scooter I have (which is a 150cc Icebear Maddog) I just daily it here in WA state. Not because it is the "green thing" but because it is my main mode of transportation at the moment. My mini truck is in the shop, and my main 170cc Maddog is in a shop getting a custom header welded up for it. But other than that, I love modding my scooters out, such as lowering them and adding mini fatty tires to the rear.
But the community here (although lacking in scooter presence) is still good and I wave to motorcyclists and they wave back. Although I am sure mine is first mistaken for a smaller motorcycle from the front light. I also have infected two others through my addiction and they both ride too (although both have ridden many years ago I think for fun). Even rode to the local annual biker event called at Anacortes, WA called the Oyster Run. Was my first time there and was very fun.

Yep, this is our new "spot" from the old Scootdawg site... so welcome! Some neat machines you have there. I first saw the Velux on an old episode of Top Gear (they had that and the BMW enclosed model It looks like you've already did some lengthened suspension mods on the back. Hope to see more pictures in the future. Good luck. Thank you! I remember that episode, saw it also on YouTube. It was a short one. Yep, have done a few things to the Velux. Going to be the only fully modded of them according to google and not seeing a lot on one done up. Will be fun to ride. Definitely. I'll post up a build thread in the coming weeks.

Hi there! Have been riding for almost 2 years now and caught the scooter virus. Have gone to ScootDawg for looking for answers to past problems, but realized today there was a new forum everyone I guess had moved to haha. But like in the title, I am in Washington state, over on Whidbey Island. I got two 2014 Icebear Maddog scooters. One is a stockish 50cc and the other is a modded/slammed 170cc. I also have a third which is a 2004 Diamo Velux that I stumbled upon in great need of love. That I am rebuilding from ground up and lowering and stretching it. Something new that I have not seen yet for those scooters. Some pictures of them. First is the Velux. It's getting a fatty, 205cc, and many more stuff, pretty much custom all around. If I get to it, might do a build thread here. I have one on TotalRuckus but none of the pictures seem to have saved on there. I also had noticed there was some pdf files for the Velux here. Good stuff! First thing I had saved, might give them a read. Next is the 170cc (on the right), which pretty much is acting as my daily until I get my truck out of the shop. The 50cc (on the left) will soon get my old 80cc as the 50 is stock internals and is only doing about 30mph. The 80cc I have had get up to 43, so that will be a nice change. Hope you enjoyed my pictures! Good to meet you all!
