That pic is as old as Moses,, taken late 80's early nineties,,, she's Armenian,,, reportedly 103-106 years old at the time,,, they probably gave her $20 American to pose with the akm,,, not an ak47,,,, she probably did see her share of atrocities knowing the region,,, the photog used black and white or photoshopped the color out of it,,, it's a staged setup hokum schmokum,,,,, and as a side note the extreme bend on the 30 round magazine indicates 7.62x39,,,the 5.56 mag has much less of a curve ,,,because the Soviet round has a much larger case head it just needs more room,,,

Why? It's an attempt at anti tamper so you can't rejet or modify,,, the gubment knows better than you and will tell you so whether you like it or not,,,even tho they can't balance a budget to save their miserable hides,,,john said it ,,,drill the heads off and get a set of needle nose vise grips and extract the shafts and replace with good quality hex head screws,,,and while you have the carb off remove the sheet metal cap that's pressed in the boss around the air/fuel mixture screw as well,,,

Well it looks like you got the dud of a lifetime,,,sell it on CL for parts and buy Taiwanese ,,,or get a genuine Stella ,,,I’m thrilled with mine and not a hint of trouble,,,3 years one clutch cable ,a battery ,that’s it,,,other than riding,,,oh I forgot a headline bulb,,,low beam filament went out so I put an h2 car bulb in it,,,much better brightness
