I have 50cc Chinese scooter with only about 400 miles. I get this odd noise, kinda scratchy, kinda whiney, once it warms up. Only when I am applying the gas and the pitch gets higher with speed.
I think its coming from the area of the CVT belt; see you tube video link below.
