I have this very issue - when I assemble the variator and test it manually before reinserting it onto the scooter, the variator opens up all the way so the ramp is up against the backing plate. When it is all the way back, the rollers are able to fall out of position and keeps the ramp from closing back. Is this suppose to be like that? It seems that this should not be able to happen?
