Well my shroud is all busted and gone as is the fan. I can't park it, have to get to work so need to figure out something at least temporaryly. What about cigarette light fan set on high blowing over the engine? I feel like that would move a lot of air.

Update: So I got the scooter running, have been riding it since Friday. I don't think I got the flywheel all the way back on. I tightened the but as much as I could but I have no way to hold keep the flywheel from spinning. Anyways the whit plastic fan came into contact with the outside housing and broke it. Now I am rolling with no fan on the flywheel. Seems to be OK, I don't think anything is going to get crazy hot. Thoughts?

Took the stator out and it smelt burnt. Don't know if that means anything. Put in new stator and "racing" cdi and I now have a strong spark, so obviously one or both of those were bad. Got it to start on starting fluid, cleaned carb, and hopefully it should be running in the next 1/2 hour.

No, not the black/white wire. I just clipped that wire to make sure it wasn't grounding with no luck. I'm not getting any power from the stator black/red wire. I'm thinking I need to order a new stator and cdi. I'm not sure if its a 6 or 8 coil as I can't get the flywheel off until I get that damn puller. Should I just order the 8?

It seems like the black and red wire going into the two prong of the cdi is grounding out. The kill wire above it seems to be working.

The new coil tests the same as all the other new ones at the shop.

It has been sitting a while. I got it without a key so I took the ignition apart and am turning the rear part plastic ignition, but all the lights work and motor turns over good with the starter. Both coils I've tried have same resistance reading, all well as anther one I tested. I've tried three different plug wires, 3 spark plugs. Cleaned the ground s on the frame and valve cover. I don't understand what could be causing the issue.

The magneto nub looks a little ground down, maybe too large of a gap. I'm going to replace the stator and cdi.

More tests black/red wire from stato is 17.5acv. Blue/white wire .1acv. Wires at coil 25 peak acv. Resistance on coil is 1.6 ohms both new and old coil. Bad stator?

Hello all. Found a similar post but with no resolution. I am having an issue with my bike that's driving me crazy. I have a jonway 150, 2400 miles on it. Scooter won't start because there's no spark. Fuel and air are there. Battery is charged and starter is turning engine good. I have power going to the coil, green and black wires but nothing coming out the other end. I thought bad coil/wire/plug and replaced all those with new ones. Still no spark no change at all. Kill switch seems to be working. I don't see a kickstand switch and have tried it up and down. I thought maybe stator or cdi but since I have power to the coil I'm not sure they can be the problem. All the lights work. Left brake is engaged. Everything is working except spark. Its very frustrating as I need it to get to work. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
