Hi everyone! I'm Scott from SE Ohio. I don't currently have a ride, but my son just bought a TNG Milano, & I'm trying to learn a little about his scoot to help him keep it on the road. He's pretty good when it comes to doing any needed repairs, taking time to make sure everything is done right. Not so good about doing the research (repair procedures, parts needed) before starting a repair. That's where I come in.
Anyway,I am hoping to someday soon get my own scooter. Used to ride years ago,but haven't had a bike in over 20 years. All it took was 1 little ride on his Milano to get the itch. Unfortunately, where I live is kind of a dead area as far as finding a used scooter. The nearest dealer for any scoot is over an hour away.
Glad to find this board, seems to be a lot of info here. Anything I can contribute I am more than willing. Thanks!

Thanks lain,I suspected as much. Thanks tortoise,no I have not measured it to be sure. I'm new to the scooter game and I'm trying to learn as much as I can about them. Are there any parts manuals available online? I'm an old parts guy so looking them up is second nature to me. Any other good resources available? Thanks again! !

My son recently purchased a used TNG Milano 125. Low mileage for the year, probably stored for a while. He couldn't wait to ride it,and of course the belt broke, probably from age. He purchased a new Bando belt (743-20-30)from Partsforscooters.com. He tried to change it himself, after viewing a video showing the procedure. The video shows it being done without tools. Is this possible on a short case engine, because the belt won't go over the variator? Is there a good resource where I can verify that this is the correct belt? No numbers on the old belt, completely destroyed. TIA !
