I'm 20 minutes outside of Mansfield near central Ohio think its quite a distance. thanks for the offer but I doubt anyone could diagnose the issue without taking the thing completely apart.

I'm ready to give up... not even full blown mechanics know what is wrong with it... scooters are just junk, completely unreliable you have to rebuild them every few months and it cost more to own one than buying a whole fleet of cars. No one here in the entire state of Ohio even knows how to work on one and it shows. I've replaced 4 major components and still have the same issue as I have had since it started to mess up 3 weeks after I bought it NEW. Nothing can fix this scooter without replacing every single part constantly and paying someone a fortune to do it. A waste of time and money.

there is compression, covering the intake there was suction, covering the exhaust there was pressure from it trying to blow... there is a strong spark tested the plug while it was in the cord against the frame and saw a spark when I used the starter.... your not listening it does start if you catch the throttle just right, stays on but then slowly dies out... the mechanic friend says there is a LOT of gas coming into the carb when he puts his fingers in the back of the carb and tries to start it... more than normal he thinks.... and he says that he thinks the reason its stalling is because too much gas is flooding it, also the scooter won't start because its flooding unless you open the throttle which burns the gas up instantly while trying to turn over the engine. we just don't know where the issue is because we don't know where the extra fuel is coming from. the fuel lines look good, the filter is great, it's one of those issues we don't know how to look for.

its not the carb... I know this because it did it with 2 different carbs and the one in it now is brand new completely clean... a 20mm carb too so it breaths better... so new carb still same problem, not the carb. Also its clean premium gasoline less than a week old premium unleaded.

wasn't the valves... adjusted them. I have a friend that's a mechanic he looked at it and even he is stumped. he thinks somehow too much gas is getting into it... we give it full throttle to start it an it will start then die out as we hold the throttle. he played with the screws to adjust it but it wouldn't stay started. we tried it with starter fluid in the intake and it still wouldn't start. he mentioned the fuel regulator because he thought too much gas was pouring into the carb and he tried to suck on the other hose from it and it wouldn't give any gas.
so any opinions?

if its my valves that are the problem why doesn't my headlight and front running lights come on until the scooter is started? they are suppose to come on when I turn on the key... they always have until recently. I checked all the wiring everything is connected securely and the lights do come on when its running. is there a reason why they stopped working on the key turn?

I have a 50cc chinese scooter I bought it new.
the spark plug is good and gets a nice spark, there is fuel in the scooter, and the battery is fully charged.
at the 3rd week it started stalling when it idled so I had to give it a little throttle to keep it started.
by the 5th week I had electrical issues that made it not start at all with the headlight and running lights not working.
by the 7th week I had a mechanic look at it and he said it was a loose wire (it stalled out pulling out of his garage and didn't work anymore) I wasn't going to leave it with that crook he would have nickel and dime me to death.
I had a neighbor mechanic look at it. I was able to start it 3 days ago and drive it around no problem. 1 day later it wouldn't start and the headlight and running lights don't work again.
started it this morning and ran it shutting it off and starting it no problem. waited for 40 minutes later and tried to start it again now it won't start anymore.
I charged the battery to full several times and tested the grounding, the carb, the starter, the CDI, and the alternator... all work fine.
checked the air filter and the fuel pump... both are clean and working.
the kickstart doesn't even turn it over...
any ideas?
