Brakes! Thanks for reminding me! Saw one site a few weeks back, was the only one ive seen that pointed out that it would be an issue. I had a neighbor who "claimed" to know all about scooters and was blown away when he saw i had a disk brake in the rear, he had never seen it before (not long after that i found out that hes a complete moron, so I disregard it all) I ment to keep it in mind (the brakes, that is) but the lack of options ive found made me start looking for anything, so i forgot!
Can I ask how you found a complete engine for sale? every search Ive tried (just did amazon again) just has people wanting to sell me variators, belts, CDIs, BBKs, but no whole motors. no matter what i search, same thing...

Need to replace a 50cc 1p39qmb long case as the crank bearing went out on me. i dont have time to do a complete teardown/rebuild right now and i need to get my scoot back on the road asap. Trying to do a bunch of searches mostly just getting part vendors! ive seen stock ones out there but im hopeing i could find one ready to go with some performance upgrades, perferrably a BBK and performance head, maybe a racing carb and/or sliders. (note mine came stock with 8.5g rollers, i think cause its a trike and weighs alot more than a normal 50cc. from what ive seen thats kinda odd-ball so i might have to live with the rollers and just swap them to the new engine) Can anyone steer me in the right direction of maybe some dealers i cant find? or mabye one thats willing to build one for me? No point in buying a whole new stock engine when im gonna upgrade the whole top end anyways. heck, not even worth it for spare parts, as the top end is the onlt thing salvagable from the current engine. only thing ideal i can find is the 80cc long case from scrappydog, but it doesnt give any real info on the website about it, other than it has a BBK. Ill try to get ahold of them to see if they can give me more specs... but im new to scooterdom and learning as i go with this thing (and learning alot, theres always something broke) and im sure someone out there knows something i dont  thanks! |
