On the inside of each opening where the grips are if you feel around the top, there is a plastic lock tab that if you pull down gently will separate the 2 halves. It is like the metal tab of a soda can except plastic that locks around a plastic center. Hm, this sounds like a promising lead, but we've felt around and peered around inside after taking off the plastic covers around the grips, can't feel anything. About where should they be, if you don't mind clarifying? A visual aid might help, hahah, if you don't mind using one of my earlier pictures. Oop, just as I was typing this, my dad got the cover off, hahah. Amazing that just those two little clips held the thing so snug! Thanks for the help, guys!

Remove both mirrors then you will have to remove 9 screws to separate the 2 halves. The 2 on the instrument cluster that alley pointed out, 2 on the bottom, 2 next to the hand grips on each side and 1 on the bottom facing the front. Then the 2 halves should almost fall apart. My scoot is the same as yours, just a different name. Hope this helps. This is what we thought, and hoped, would happen! But we've done exactly that and removed the screws from every spot you mention, and while it spreads apart along the bottom half all the way to the grips/brakes as if it -wants- to come apart, along the top side over the instruments from hand grip to hand grip it remains firmly together as if it were screwed together on the inside, which given all things is what concerns us as being the issue with opening it up. If we could get the two halves apart, then we could likely fix whatever issue is going on with the turn signals - As it is, the issue has gone from 'fix turn signal' to 'get this dang thing open,' heh.

Those two we had out. It's a little recess, so it's hard to tell if one's in there or not without being right at it, but, yeah, they're out; we scoured the whole thing for any out-facing screws we could remove, got them all out. Here's a shot of what we have, it's the handlebar section removed from the steering column www.raven-mythic.com/images/gallery/1087/Test/images/DSCF0110.JPGYou can see that the bottom has an open seam where it was unscrewed and can be separated a little bit, but the other side, along the line where the grey and black meets on this image www.raven-mythic.com/images/gallery/1087/Test/images/DSCF0106.JPGdoes not separate, and again all screws that can be seen and removed have been. If it is just clips holding it together now, they're tight enough as to be screwed together, and pulling them apart makes us fear we will outright break them. If it is screwed together from the inside, the opening around the steering column is far too small to reach inside and unscrew. Seems to be very poor engineering to make it so difficult to get into the part. Again, thanks for the help with this! My dad is trying to help with this, and is mechanically inclined, but cannot figure this out either.

Hey all, this seems a good place for advice, maybe someone knows what's up with this thing. Got a Taotao Motors Sports 150 back in the fall, and only recently been taking it out to drive now that the weather permits - It only has 91 miles on it, but the turn signals have stopped working. Still got horn, still got headlights (high and lows,) still have brake lights, but the turn signals are a no-go on the dash and the lights. We checked a few things to start off with - Fuses and battery seem alright (if it were either, I'd think more than just the turn signals would not work?), and the spot where we believe the spark plug is is okay as well. We decided to get into the front of it and check on wiring there; the front shielding with the headlights (I'm not mechanically inclined, as these clever titles for parts suggests!) came off easy, but trying to get the front cover off the steering part has proven extremely difficult. After removing all the screws and trying to separate the front from the dash, it's proven extremely resistant - Taking as much a look as we can inside after separating it from the steering column, it looks like it's actually screwed together on the interior at at least two points that we can see (we think it's three since it's one in the center and one on the right-hand side, it makes sense it'd have one on the right too), and there's no way that we can think of to get the screws out, least of all BACK in after getting them out, without potentially breaking something. Looking over the web, it doesn't seem like there's ANYTHING on this particular scooter, at least that we can find, and the fairly flimsy manual is no real help. Is there some specialized screwdriver needed to get inside this thing, or is the resistance we feel trying to take the front half of the steering block off of the back just normal and it only FEELS like it's screwed in, or what? It just seems that it's a LOT of difficulty for getting in there - I can't imagine what it'd be like just to change one of the turn signal lights, to say nothing of just checking and making sure everything in there is okay. Any help would be appreciated! For reference sake, here's the vehicle in question. ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Km%2BR5CHWL.jpg
