I need some help. The handbrake is broken on my adly thunderbike 50. I'm looking at this page www.scrappydogscooters.com/COMMON_PARTS.html but I'm not sure what kind of handbrake I need. I wish I knew more about the type of handbrake I have, but I don't. Also, it seems replacing it isn't too hard. Basically unscrew the old part put on the new one. There does seem to be a cable coming out of this handbrake. It is the handbrake on the left side and is the one with the electric start hooked into it. Thanks for the help.

I always by passed my oil injector pumps,,never trusted them, better to pre mix the way you want,,that way you know the oil is going to make it to the cylinder..JMO I feel I'm a long ways from doing something like this given I just learned how to change the gear oil, but in curios how I might do this.

Gear oil is now changed. Now I have a question about the engine oil. I now know that with the type of engine I have I don't usually have to change the oil, just keep it filled. But... The person I bought this from said that it was in a shed for a few years. That means the oil is probably not great anymore. Is there a way to change it even though I'm not usually going to have to?

I read the manual posted. Thanks! Looks like you do change engine oil. I want to make sure I understand this.
Are there three places oil is used? 1. Gear oil - This needs to be changed. 2. Engine oil - This needs to be changed. 3. Oil that gets mixed - This gets burnt off so I just keep it filled.
Is that correct?

Wow! Thanks everyone for the help. I took the body off to just get a feel for everything. This site had been great. Question though.
Since this engine burns oil moved mixed with gas, do I ever have to change engine oil or just keep it filled up? Gear oil has to be changed though right?

That was so helpful! I've tried a few other sites where posters haven't been very kind. I'll check those things out. Quick question to get started. The engine seems to be under the seat... And there is a seat there. How do I get to it? Can I just unscrew all the Phillips screw's on the plastic frame?

Good morning
I just bought a 2008 Adly thunderbike 50 and I'm not sure what to do for maintenance. It didn't come with an owners manual so I know nothing about the the type of oil to use in the oil container under the seat, is there engine oil that needs changing, is there gear oil that needs changing, etc. Any help would be appreciated. I've been looking for info online and can't seem to come up with anything.
Thanks again.
